Finished and molded a crude wooden wagon wheel. Also molded the fish again and a 40k Imperial eagle as I mixed too much RTV! Will try casting wheel tonight and sort out the coach house ground floor!

Sculpted the basic planks for a cartwheel about 2.5cm across. Quite thin but resin castable hopefully. Made the mistake of sculpting it on a bit of blister plastic which is really too thin for a base. Might buy some CD jewel cases from Dick Smith today for sculpting / casting instead.
Sculpted a nice small fishy from green stuff and RTV molded him for casting. Painting Rieklanders and much progress on coach house. Must sculpt that wagon wheel! Also paint up some more barrels for base detailing.
Building up gothic floor of coach house. It occurs to me that the plaster base will be so heavy it can stabilty support at least a couple of extra stories of foamcard half-timbered building as usual. Might build a couple of floors and really spread them out from the ground floor. Stairway is also going to have to be an interesting two level balsa wood affair. Picked up some 2mm half round plastic rod for second attempt at wrought ironwork as well.
Painted up first Reiklander - a youngblood. He turned out alright despite some misgivings about how I was painting human flesh. Threw together another blunderbuss carrying Reiklander. Bit of light conversion to get the blunderbuss at rest over his shoulder. Managed to get a few casts in on the last week and have started putting together a two story carriage house with a mix of fieldstone for the ground floor and gothic for the second story…possibly a bit of half timbered foam card on top of that. Coming together ok although I have used up almost all of my straight fieldstone casts.
Ohhh how about a nice fieldstone foundation, gothic stone first floor like the Auckland Town Hall eh? Granite foundations and limestone top floors. That’d be nice.
New molds arrived last week. Have done a few rush casts since then. Gothic floor tiles are lovely! Might have to build a stone ‘mansion’ for Mordheim and relegate my balsa mansion to simple housing.
