Auctioning Terminators

Stripped second squad of Terminators in preparation of auctioning. Not much action on the current auction however. Took photos of stripped Terminators and Catachans for another auction.

Basilisk is progressing slowly. Have started painting two crew members and am considering how to detail the Basilisk. Some sandbags around the gun – instead of that god-awful ’shield’ would be good. Plus some crates on the back deck I think. May experiment with a little light battle damage as well.

Should add I’ve done some planning and preliminary sketches for the Tau ruined statue. I’m looking for a classic ’seated giant’ type statue that the Egyptians were so fond of. Should really get cracking on this as Griff’s Jungle Tau table sounds like it’s progressing rather quickly.

Finished Hanging Tree

Finished hanging tree. Started working on 40k Basilisk again. Have crew to do as well. Must finish before starting on any Cadians.

TradeMe Auctions

Hanging tree almost done! Picked up a box of Cadians with the $33US I had kicking around in my wallet. Must ask Ben about auctioning Catachans on Trademe!

Cadian Thoughts

Occurs to me that I only need two boxes of plastic Cadians to give me 4 squads that would replace the currently mismatched Catachans in my IG army. Lots of painting certainly but at least the new Cadians would match the old 1985 ‘google eyed’ troopers that make up the rest of my force. Maybe keep a Catachan squad or two for Elite purposes? That’s a heck of a lot of repainting though…

New Imperial Guard Codex

Picked up new Imperial Guard Codex for 40k so have been briefly distracted from MH! Based 2 priests and psykers. Also stripping old Commissars and IG for repainting and resin casting for a prone HW team?

Hanging Tree

Working on the ‘hanging tree’ and various other bits and pieces – a couple more MH walkways, painting up some wagon wheels. Lots of little detail pieces to paint for the tree!

External Staircase

Casting lots of wagon wheels and fish! Working on basic balsa detailing for coach house. Built rickety external stair case. Grabbed some more DAS to detail the base – thinking wheel ruts under the arches.
