In fact the original rules that inspired the alternate card system article appear to be 'Dusty Trails', available online here: http://www.dustydoggames.com/DustyTrails.pdf from http://www.dustydoggames.com/

Despite your terrible slander against my good name you do raise a point Mr Griff.

I think most of the magic works fine doesn't it? Didn't we just treat that spell as working from the victim's card turning over? Or from the casters? Damn I can't remember...which one gives me more advantage?

Chaos freaks should all be burned at the stake anyway!

I would like to add here that there are some circumstances that need to be thought through using this system.

Some spells can cause long debates.

There is a Chaos mind control one that uses all sorts of phrases like players next turn etc that Stu relentless tries to work to his advantage each and every time he gets hit by it. And I mean every time and not just once per game. Every.... damn... time.....

There are probably other "Stu" like people out there and it is good to make sure everyone accepts how these spells will be played before hand lest you double your game time by these "discussions"

:-)

hmmmm I wonder if this post will remain or will it be censored for anti-Stu-ness....
