If you’re a regular visitor you’ve probably noticed this blog has slowed a bit in the past month. I’m still modelling but I’ve been increasingly distracted by fiendish PC games. It’s also heading into summer down here in New Zealand so my garage modelling space is unbearably hot during the day and stifling warm in the evenings.

In particular a few ‘big name’ games like ‘Call of Duty 2′, ‘CounterStrike:Source’ and ‘Battlefield 2′ have been stealing hours of my evening modelling time each week. I’ve also been wasting more time with several superb ‘indie’ games like Digital Eel’s ‘Weird Worlds’ and Introversion’s ‘Darwinia’.

Hopefully I’ll get some modelling done over the Xmas break!

Timothy Richards Palaise Royal Timothy Richards is a British gentleman that makes architectural models of historic buildings for a living. His website is packed with interesting photos and it seems a lot of the techniques he uses are very similar to your average tabletop wargamer’s.

His prices are eye-opening though! For example this particular piece sells for 650GBP or $1620NZ at today’s exchange rate.

Hey! Fame and fortune :) … Adam and Nate mention this humble blog at the start of Roll2d6 Podcast Episode #5 because I emailed them regarding painting 15mm figures vs 28mm.

www.tarrif.net is a no frills web-site packed with interesting WWII technical details about WWII equipment.

It also includes some very interesting interviews from WWII veterans.
