Well I couldn’t restrain myself any further and ordered some 28mm scale WWII Germans from Artizan Designs today. In particular, three of the smaller ‘collectors packs’ of four figures each:
- DAK (North African) NCOs for Pulp characters.
- DAK Riflemen for rifle firing secondary figures.
- DAK Sentries for more relaxed secondary figures.
I realise that Pulp is set in the 1930’s, between the two World Wars but couldn’t resist picking up some Germans for those Egyptian tomb dig scenarios. They’ll also be handy for the ‘Quest for La Calavera Negra de la Luna’ downloadable scenario from Pulp Heroes.
Now all I need is a suitably academic adventurer with a bullwhip, a feisty brunette and a large jolly Egyptian digger…

Check out Copplestone Castings for suitable explorer types.
Their Back of Beyond range might have some useful figs

Hi Zac, Copplestone are probably going be receving some of my trade shortly too!
I figured since I’ve already started making a North African table for 15mm Flames of War then I might as well finish that and use it for desert 28mm scenarios. For Pulp in the desert soft capped German soldiers are definitely req’d imho.
The 15mm hills will look more like wadis in the 28mm scale. So I may expand my terrain collection with some 28mm scale rocky sand dunes as well.
I guess one of these might be required too.
I’m a 40K, Battlefleet Gothic, Necromunda, Mordheim collector but I must admit that the combination of the pulp rules and the artizan/copplestone miniatures are really tempting.
Your whole site is very impressive and I look forward to drawing some inspiration and learning from your various projects.
