It seems I’m on a spending spree at the moment.
Copplestone Castings had a great sale this weekend and I was very tempted by the £34 ‘Big Adventure’ offer but didn’t want several of the British looking ‘pith’ helmeted gentlemen. So I ended up simply ordering a subset of the offer, one pack each of
That’s probably enough Pulp ‘Heroes’ to foil the plans of the DAK Germans which are currently winging their way to me.
I’ve also made quite a bit of progess on the North African Flames of War table which will double as desert terrain for Pulp games and Westerns too. I’ve textured and painted two of the six tiles and hope to finish another two before Tuesday’s gaming night.

Good choices. I was following your entry into pulp miniatures and plotting my own purchase when I was reminded recently that been spending at quite the rate even for me so I’m shelving the credit card and staying away from Ebay for a while. That means, of course, that my main excuse for not painting my many 40K armies has now been removed. Looking forward to hearing how the miniature rules play. I’m already certain the table and the minis are going to look great. Enjoy.

Yes there was a lot of agonising over the Copplestone figure lines believe me.
I went for a mix of weapons, appearance and sexes basically. Naturally I also had to pick up a suspiciously familiar looking gentleman with fedora and bullwhip and there’s at least one or two figures in there that could reasonably be played with a ridiculously Pommie accent.
The DAK Germans actually arrived this evening! Just writing a post about it at the moment so keep an eye out tomorrow. Hopefully the Artizan Designs and Copplestone Castings scales play together nicely.
I don’t know if you’ve been reading long but you may have noticed I tend to purchase in ‘bursts’. That’s because my hobby purchasing power is directly related to the orders I receive for the 15mm terrain I also sell on the site!
Ahh, I haven’t been reading long so I hadn’t made the connection. I grew up obsessed with WW2 and playing too much Axis and Allies boardgame when it came out. Flames of War is so tempting when I’m wanting to recapture a bit of my youth but since I don’t get to play any 40K I’ve actually been quite good about not picking up new games. I like your terrain for FOW and see how it would fit in nicely with the broader game.
I surprised myself with how enthusied I was by the Pulp miniatures and potentially collecting/gaming with them. Maybe its the idea that a couple dozen figures and terrain could provide much entertainment rather than dozens upon dozens for a game of GW 40K or Fantasy. Maybe that’s why I like Necromunda and Mordheim since they allow the same kind of thing to happen.
