I placed another order with Ebob Miniatures this weekend, picking up two of their great looking 28mm Opel Blitzes, along with crates, barrels and jerry cans for stowage in the truck bed.
I’m looking foward to them arriving as they should be interesting to assemble and paint. One will definitely have to be painted in a desert sand colour while the other I suspect will be painted like Ebob’s grey demonstrator model in the photo.
I’ve ordered these for .45 Adventure pulp gaming since I figure they’ll be invaluable ’set decoration’ as well as very handy for chase scenes and the like. The Dragon Bones .45 expansion has a chase scene scenario which would be fun to adapt to a different story with the heroes in one Blitz and the villains in another.
Ebob has released a few new products this month, and I also grabbed one of his ‘German Equipment’ packs just to see what they’re like. These bits and pieces will probably end up in or on the Blitzes although I can see you could have fun modelling the large round anti-tank mines onto a German figure or two.

The Opels look really nice and should be great for the Dragon Bones chase scenario. Along with the crates and barrels you should be set. I’ve got my eye on the Copplestone archaelogist with the dinosaur fossils for that series of scenarios as well.
I’ve been looking at the Tamiya 1/48 scale line of miliatary models as a possibility since it has the citreon staff car and the kubelwagon. Would you be inclined to consider that scale as well or do you think they might look a bit off? With Amazing War Stories out now I can definitely see more military models being useful to have to run everything from an airfield raid to scurrying through the village trying to dodge the angry locals and the small delegation of troops supporting the evil archaelogist’s dig.

Pagumb you must be psychic :). Check out the post that’s coming up this morning!
Yes I have seriously considered the 1/48th scale, both for vehicles and airplanes too! The only sticking point is finding a local supplier.
My Opel Blitzes actually arrived last night and they’re lovely. I’ll be posting about them next week sometime. Seems there’s a lot going on with my hobby at the moment!
Wow, if only my psychic powers extended to picking lottery numbers or stock prices. Oh well, one must enjoy ones gifts no matter how limited their scope. :)
I’ll definitely be checking out the site you found (probably should have done that before posting) and then one day join you in purchasing some of the Tamiya models to go with the Opels.
