This blog hasn’t been updated for a while because I’ve been on holiday in Melbourne, Australia. Now I’m back I’d like to get back into modelling but I’m feeling strangely uninspired. Periodically I seem to get this hobby apathy.
I find the best way to shake it off is just grab something from the work bench and get into it…but then I’m faced with som many unfinished projects I wonder where I should start. Maybe just make a ‘top ten’ list and then roll a D10 and let the fates decide!
Anybody else experience this? How do you get around it?

I deal with this issue by either sucking it up and finishing the most complete project Or starting something small and completely different.
I’d do the one that gets you gaming with the project the soonest. Reward your activity with the ability to game with some new painted terrain or minis and then start working on the other projects
I pick up an interesting book. That nearly always gets me inspired about a genre of game or figure and from there is off on another manic spending spree… Of course that is only after I’ve spent 3 days reading!
(so no platformers arrived yet then?)
Actually the latest White Dwarf (despite being almost 50% LOTR stuff which I could care less about) contains some interesting Army Spotlights and modelling articles that have got me a bit inspired to bust out some 40k figures and give them a once over with green stuff, or to review my doomed Vampire Counts army for the nth time.
No Aaron, no platformers yet :(…going to email Olypmia Games shortly as it’s been almost two weeks since they supposedly shipped.
I just don’t do anything until i am feeling inspired.
Now I think about it more (and whine about it less) the best way to inspire me is to play a game! No matter what game it is I’ll get to the end and think ‘hmmm I really need some more terrain’ or ‘damn I wish more of my figures were painted’!
