Space crusade was pretty good, beter than heros quest. Space hulk first edition has the same flexability as spacecrusade, you could just about use the missions from space crusade to play spacehulk

I used to play StarQuest (called Space Crusade outside Europe) when I was young, it's the spiritual successor to Space Hulk IIRC. It was amazing. Should suggest it to my gaming group next week.

There're issues with re-releasing talisman at least, because of the MB games connection. Or so the grapevine tells

The marines are harder to play but if remember that your marines need a stealer free 6 square radius and try and lure stealers out by setting overwatch at 4 squares. then you should be ok. Oh cross fire and flame walls to block stealers will also help the marines survive.

I loved Talisman, we used to play the edition before it came out with models.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a reissue of Talisman and a few of the expansions. Towards the end the expansions started to get a little silly but the first couple were good.

If you enjoy Space Hulk you should check out Seige of the Citadel. Its a similar type of game, which also spawned a line of war gaming miniatures. It was produced by the now defunct Target Games, and spawned 2 other board games: Blood Berets, and Fury of the Clansmen, as well as the Warzone: Mutant Chronicles sci-fi miniature wargame.

I have a bit of a softspot for Seige of the Citadel as it was my original lead into wargaming, which lead to Mutant Chronicles, which then lead me to historical gaming, all in all a hobby that has provided me with years of enjoyment.

A while back I found a brilliant space hulk game on the net, most of the missions and an AI for the genestealers. Quite fun actually. Wish I could remember the link.

Space Hulk rocks! I think my two best GW purchases were Space Hulk (2nd Edition) and Warhammer Quest.

And I gotta say playing the Terminators in Space Hulk is hard - you really gotta plan for overwatch fire and provide covering fire, etc otherwise those genestealers will mess you up.

I've played Space Hulk and Warhammer Quest way more than any army vs army game from GW or any other manufacturer. Mostly because the majority of my friends aren't gamer enough to go buy their own army, but still enjoy a game or two now and then.
