Well I’ve been toying with a buying moratorium since we have a three week trip to Europe in February/March. That puts me back in the States in mid-March and would require an 82 day break in buying. I’m 10 days in so it’s theoretically possible. I made it 70 days from March to May of this year but then spent my monthly average in one huge buying spree. Sigh. I’ve got the whole assemble/convert/paint trinity alternative to buying but I’ve always found a way to break that plan. Maybe this time I’ll get something painted. Good luck with the ancients.

Hi Page, the irony is I've tried this in the past with a friend. That time I lasted less than three weeks before I cracked. This time I'll last longer - hopefully the 15mm Ancients will keep me distracted for at least a month!

I have to defer to the knowledge of those who know Stu in person versus my web based knowledge but I’ll say he makes a good go of it…April at least. :)

As the possessor of vast quantities of unpainted or unassembled armies myself maybe I should join Stu in a trans Pacific online support group. “Hi, I’m Page and I haven’t purchased a miniature in 10 days. (polite applause) My last painted miniature was completed in June 2006. (awkward silence)”

I’ve got two cupboard in the garage full of stuff that needs to be assembled / painted. I swear no more (major) purchases until I at least finish ONE WHFB Army…and the FOW Germans…and my Pulp figures…and their vehicles…and the 15mm Ancients and the 17mm Moderns…

Should be about Dec 2007 by then.

And we all know how reliable they are :).

But yeah, armored cars will be much more suitable for Pulp gaming than a Panzer. Since you know, players might actually have a chance of destroying a couple of armored cars…
