Despite the fact I planned to paint in 2007 I seem to have spent the bulk of my modelling time mastering 15mm terrain so far – and it’s March!
Ah well, I have at least painted two 28mm Pulp Heroes from Copplestone Castings. Here’s a poor photo of the dame I painted. I’ve also finished a double pistol wielding chap who looks an awful lot like Brendan Frasier’s character from The Mummy, but you don’t get to see him because I took an even worse photo of that figure alas.
I have a couple more heroes to paint and I’ll have enough done to foil the plans of those Germans I painted in 2006. Then it’s on to the 1:56th vehicles and Baluchi Zombies still cluttering up my gaming cupboard.

I have slowed down my efforts also. Buying figures must be petrol for paint brushes.
I am half expecting to wake up one morning with ninja dedication and finish like everything in one weekend… Its a pipe dream mostly =\
Its neat seeing the difference between your Imp Guard and your new work. It really captures a pulp magazine look in the way you’ve done the shading and highlighting.
Yeah, plus it’s hard to paint in summer! I’m very tempted to flag my New Year’s resolution and start buying figures again, because as you say it does inspire you to paint stuff :).
Plus I’ve had a bloody cold hammering for a week and a bit and a mad stupid software death march happening at work. Kinda puts a crimp on my modelling time.
I’ve been trying to paint all my miniatures bevfore buying new ones. I succeeded in half of that i.e. not buying new minis. Unfortunately, as soon as I get down to painting, I satrt thinking about terrain pieces and switch to a new scenery project! Will I ever get all my painting done?
By the way, It’s funny to hear you talk about warm weather since for me, in Quebec (Canada), we are experiencing a snow storm (25 centimetres) right now! That means lots of modelling time for me in-between shoveling the driveway and playing with my 3-year-old daughter! :-)
