The Ultracal will be fine, in fact it will go together better due to the lack of moisture in the surface. I use Aquadhere exterior on my block projects and it works fine if you leave the blocks for a reasonable time for the glue to grab. I normally only do two or three layers at a time and then let them dry. For the long columns I would glue one up completly if using a former and then let it dry before moving it. The problem with liquid nails is that it is hard to get the blocks to sit exactly together so you get creep on your walls. This can be ok if you are building ruins but a bit of a pain if you are not.

anyway good luck with the project hope to see it finished

Yah epoxy is a tad messy. I tend to mix it in spare laundry powder scoops, then break the residue away when it dries. This way I get about 5-10 good uses from a mixing scoop before I have to throw them out.

Yes, yes I was. I started it back in late 2005 I think and was casting until early 2006 when I started trying to glue stuff together.

Quick set epoxy is certainly another good suggestion, but it's a hassle to clean up right? Liquid Nails cleans up in water doesn't it? Ah yes, there is a water based version of it. That might be my best bet.

Damn weren't you doing that Cathedral back when I was playing Mordheim, aeons ago?

And I say flag it and play more Team Fortress 2!!

How are you gluing the bits together? If you're into glue sniffing I can highly recommend Airsail 5 minute and 30 minute two-part epoxies. Glue something with that stuff and it is NOT coming apart. I say this after landing heavily but happily on my landing gear that was screwed into a shattered mount bunged together with epoxy.

Is there an echo in here? Dammit I really need to STOP playing Half Life 2 and start doing some serious modeling again.

I've made a reasonable amount of progress on the second facade btw. I've stalled because I need to master and mold the resin detail pieces. Vertical columns and decorative doodads basically. All it would take is a couple of focussed evenings of sculpting and molding to get over the hump too.
