The only thing keeping me out of trouble at the moment is Forza, made it up to mighty level 23...

I've got 1 race left in season 3 but they decided to stick a 6 race, pro level midweek competition in my way... my fault I guess for playing the same car over and over (Lambo Murcielago tweaked to PI: A600) but it just drives sooo well.

Unfortunately I think Im about to hit boredom point... when the races and series get so long that I just get bored doing them.  Considering I haven't turned on Wet or the other game Jonathan left here and now I have a review of James Cameron's Avatar The Game to do its probably just as well.

Yeah my driver level ain't that high, but I've noticed the races have already stretched to 6/7 laps which is getting a bit old.

Oh and Dustan was right about VP, there is a sell shortcut but it's only available AFTER the first time you sell anything to the Costalot lady. Dang training UIs...!

LOL, I can tell you why your getting bored with the 6-7 lap races. Automatic gearbox.

Racing manual you dont get bored, you dont get a chance to think and the laps go by as fast as you like. It takes a lot to get used to (finally) and even more to master (one day:).

Automatic is boring cause you pull the right trigger and waggle the left stick a bit until its finished sometimes you enven need to play with the triggers a bit but mostly just holding the right one.

Oh my god, you are one of these people that only owns manual cars because otherwise its not really driving... and swears black and blue once you are used to it its just as easy to drive in Auckland rush hour traffic... well to you sir I say <pfffft> and I shake my cane at you!

maybe I should try manual gear box, I spent a whole day playing with my steering wheel set up but it just makes me slower which means races take longer...

Yeah I've considered trying manual myself. Does it make take off out of deep corners quicker? Surely it does?

How much extra credit do you get for manual? 10%? 5%?

Stu, i dunno i have no time for xbox. Sad as it is really. If i do any gaming its just a lan session with mates, first time this year last week lol. Company of heroes and it was quite good too. Want to do some more really... but time time time!! I work a six day week, 5 start, 5 finish. Then the gf expects me at her house for the evening 7 days a week. You see my problem? The one day i get off a week i usually catch up on sleep or... spend it with the girl friend. lol

What a xbox 360 worth>

I put mine up on trade me for $450 including the two controllers, 3 games, rock band + 3 games, headset 20 GBB and 2 years warranty remaining.

I'd take a decent chunk less than that but am in no rush to sell it so thought i would try my luck at that price.

I finished the main story in Fable II. I picked the 'Sacrifice' option, but want my doggie back (the wife and kid I can do without).

Hehe, I saved my dog!
I wish I was as cunning as Dustan though...

I hit level 26 on Forza and completed season 3.   Grin

Now I need to figure out what R3 car to buy.  Can you modify racing cars in the same way as other vehicles?  (like can I buy a Falcon and improve it or is it better buy the Ferrari (being the highest level R3 car)... Also is there any point you get award a Falcon (or any R3 car?).

If you want to be a whore like me you need to do at least preliminary research. Read the achievments and look up the secret ones. take note of the ones which look like they require more than one play through and then figure out if saving the game can help...

Aaron did the save game whoring with Monkey Island. I did it with Fallout 3 by saving before going up the levels that gave you the good the bad and the neutral (ugly) acheivments then leveled up as good and made a new save, then went to durkovs pad near the memorial with the mire lurkers, killed durkov ( then picked up every red item I could find, there are heaps of bottles every where. you then put them into a red trash can (red because its stealing) leave the building and go back in take everything from the trash then put it back. Each stollen item is -3 karma so you only need a few trips with 100 items to go from goody two shoes to neutral then to nasty mofo. Then save it as neutral, kill durkovs girlfriends for the xp and if needs be the mire lurkers outside until you go up the level. rince and repeat.

Being mindful of the achievments is one thing but you also got to make the judgment call on using a guide. http://x360a.com/ is the site I use for achievment guides they may include some spoilers but it will usually list missable acheivments, save load tricks and how in the hell you are supposed to get the vague or secret ones.

Some games I wont use guides others I wont close the guide once. It depends on what i am after (MW2 for example I didnt use a guide until after the campaign)

Yes I certainly whored my way through Monkey Island... 100% in 2 run throughs (altho only 250pts) that was the first time I've paid much attention to achievements so i've gotten more cunning since then.

Im kicking myself with Oblivion because I am so close to getting 100% but I missed an achievement (the only one in the entire game) that branches (shivering isles) I have no appropriate save so have to play that part of the game from the begining...  Lips sealed

Also had a thought about forza, if you can gift cars then with a gentlemans agreement it should be pretty easy to get the conesseur achievement...
