Well I thought I would start a topic of generic nature, mostly cause I like to write about good games I have on MW2 and also cause maybe we will have less thread jacking if we do have a 'I am currently playing X and OMG Y Happened'

To kick it off

I hit level 54 on MW2 last night, I had a couple beautiful games that netted me 18,000 XP per game, USP Akimbo with Marathon, fast moving and commando, I got 18 knife kills in one game, I was 5/0 at the begining of the game and all of them knife kills. I got my Commando perk to pro basically in one game (18 of 20 kills) and My USP tac. knife in the next then switched out to my ACR and got my 300th kill straight away. Good times.

Jonathan, when are you comming back to MW2.

Dustan, I will be back, I'm just not going to be on as much as i was for COD4:MW.  I'm still trying to get through The Saboteur enough to write a review, then I want to have a crack at AC2.  Also, Microsoft have just sent me 800MS$ so I can start reviewing arcade games....

Who'd have thought that reviewing games would mean that you don't have enough time to play the one game you waited sooo long for....  having said that, Christmas is coming and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to put some time aside to try and reach level 72.....

So of pales in comparison really...

Actually Dustan I had a question for you, how the hell do you generate lots of cash in Viva Pinata? Romancing the pinatas? Or some other way. I seems I'm constantly broke dammit. The most money I've ever had is like 500 coins.

Hint - Easy Money
When you have two Tafflies, buy a torch, then direct them to the torch they will start on fire, when you can, put them out with the watering can. They will become Reddhotts. Romance the Reddhotts and sell the kid for an easy $2,100. Keep repeating however many times you want.

Hint - Easy Money
At the General Store, purchase the Chili Seed. You can plant a maximum of ten. Place four in a cluster, twice. Then just plant the other two close to one another.

Next, buy the Red Fertilizer. If the chili seeds are close enough, you can douse four at the same time. So get each group of Chili Seeds three times.

Just let the plants grow out. Each Chili Seed will be worth $400 Chocolate Coins. $4,000 in total.

Jonathan, maybe your undertaking to much of the reviewing goodness on yourself, Dont forget you have a mild insomniac whos more than happy to play xbox till 4 in the morning then start again when he wakes up a few hours later Wink You dont want to burn out your gaming fuse (for the record I burnt out my gaming fuse a long time ago so I wraped tinfoil around it and stuck it back in Smiley

I got a trademe deal on a game with nothing but bad reviews. Fatal Inertia by Koei. Its like the wipeout series, high speed 'pod racers' with weapon pickups. It was mostly hated because it gets realy hard towards the end. I loved my little stint on it and while its not the best in the genre its not as bad as I was expecting. It actually felt quite fast and I found myself tensing up near the end of the races and LOLing and cheering when I executed a particularly stunning overtake or turn.

I am also waiting for Perfect Dark Zero, which has to real grind worth MP acheivments but they can all be done offline with bots so its not to bad.

Stu there are 2 good ways to make cash in VP.

One you can do in your garden (Chilli) the other you should do in a new garden Poison Ivy.
1. Chillis - 400 g per fully catalysed chilli
Plant 6 chilli seeds then quickly get the red fertiliser from costalot and put 3 doses on each chilli starting with the first seed you planted. once they are all dosed they will be very dry so quickly bust out your wattering can and give them a quick drink. by the time you finish the watering the last one the first one will just about be ready to pop. This will net you 2400 gold and will cost you about 240 gold each time.

2. Poison Ivy - 100g per Green flower head
Start a new Garden, flatten out the land (dont worry about grass) plant 3-6 poison ivy weeds spread out accross your garden and wait. eventually the poison ivy will die and drop 3 seeds and a green flower head, the flower heads are worth 100g a piece and you dont have to water them or anything. Later on when you get gatherlings it works out even easier cause they will seel the flower heads for you, I cant remember if they sell the seed which I think is bad cause they are -ve value. Destroy any stale plants and seeds you dont need and sell any pinata which enters the garden or your medical bill will stack up fast

BTW your money and gradener skills and tower of sour all cross from garden to garden. You are best to start new gardens with goals in mind (like water type or to keep rival pinatas in different places.)

Once you hit the higher levels Gem trees and the mine are great ways of turning a little extra income and selling pinatas get a lot more worth it when they start going to 5k a piece (horstacio and chewicorns).

The taffle fly took too long for my liking though its a good side project. I didnt know putting 4 chillis so close together would work, most plants dont grow properly if they are to crowded.

Don't worry I've got a couple more games for you to borrow and 1k after Aaron and Stu have finished with them.  I'm also angling to get XBox Arcade games for review, and if they start coming along, I'll be handing those out for review, as my hard drive doesn't have a of of space left!

We'll see how Arron goes with his PS3 review of Avatar, who knows, maybe you'll both be fighting to get review copies.....  Wink

Ok then, maybe this is a dumb question then...

But how the hell do you SELL produce? I've got apples and hazelnuts and all kinds corn and chillis and pumpkins and shit all over my garden.

But all I seem to be able to do is pick them up and put them down somewhere else? How do I sell them? Did I miss something?

Good god man, I suspect you're right. I was looking for a button to mash on the controller rosette while flying around the garden (I mean shit that's how I would have implemented it)...!

there is a shortcut. I think you put your cursor over it then press Y or B or something and a costalot icon apears over the top, select all you want to sell then click the checkout option... it all should come up on the button menu thing in the top right of the screen I think.

You can do it from the shop but it is slower.

Yeah its a very complex game especially if you didnt have any online help to know WTF is happening and how exactly to cross breed a Rashbery (pig) and a Swanana (Swan) to make a Pigixse (sp? Flying pig) Which is the only ways to get one of the sours to stop being sour.

Oh yeah and I just won warhammer battle march for $21 inc postage. its a good little game, it is Mark of chaos + the addon. Worth buying if you can get it under $25
