I'm hoping to get it, but the (only) downside to getting a review copy is it usually turns up a week after release and occasionally for the PS3!!!  Though I'm pretty certain I'll be getting Brink on the 360.

How longs are it's legs I wonder. How long do you think we can team up before you all go back to COD and I go back to BC2??!

I wanna play a team game with you and Dustan, but I don't want to play COD :/

Or for that matter do you wanna play BC2.

Another question would be, how many of your extended XBox friends would be buying it too? Dustan? Jonathan?

<sniff>
I have no other friends...  Cry

I am interested on the grounds we can all posse up but I suspect we'll probably do that about 5 times and then it'll get disjointed again...

As the posse is the appeal to me I wouldn't be adverse to finding a better/cheaper alternative provided its not COD/BF or a similar realistic FPS shooter but as latest is greatest Im not adverse to getting Brink.

Speaking of online fun why have we not set up a friends room and played some games at Pokerstars.net?
It claims to be free.

The problem is most of you need your beauty sleep, whilst Dustan and I seem to play much later in the night  Tongue

I'll be getting it =] Infact I had better start saving for it... I got a freebe can of resin turning up today (thanks to my Folks, they are so cool) which means I just have to control my spending whilst i am on leave for 2 weeks... starting tomorrow =D

I think the likes of COD are actually dying out a bit, I see more and more players on my friends list doing something else, and thats a list of CoD recruited friends I might add. I know of about 6 people who are keen on getting brink, some of them will stop playing after hitting 1k but there are a few looking to replace it...

Stu I am standing my ground on the F**KING EA servers stand point. Its probably more noticable to me because there is no DSL2+ and I have to get data all the way down to gisborne which is why the lag is probably so bad for me. but i am happy to try alternatives.

Shadowrun is pretty fun, and old so it should be cheap plus its cross platform so PC gamers can join in and play with us!

Yeah I do notice lag too. Just last night was a bit of a lag fest one round, which is a pity because the squad of randoms I was in was actually good! I don't think we're on DSL2+ and we live in Auckland :/ Oh wait, doesn't that depend on the modem you're using? Shit I honestly don't know...

Well fuck it I've pre ordered Brink man! So I'm in! Is it a hosted system again? Or dedicated servers? I missed that detail...?

Lag in my experience largely depends on who you're playing with - playing COD4 with an international mix is bad, but with just Aussies and Kiwis sweet as.  Having said that, I've not been that bothered with to many EA games as far as online play goes....

I read its P2P with dedicated servers only for PC. Personally the P2P things works best cause once it fills up with NZ and Aus players it'll be nice and lag free. fingers crossed it has regional searching in its match making

Well that is interesting?! Hope it works out ok and hosts don't keep quittin' when they start losing Smiley

Damn. Now I wanna play it. I am no good at waiting. Mind you I haven't finished the Borderlands DLC yet so I could pass the time doing that.

Random. Now Brink is $114. I suspect the price variants are just Mighty Ape are doing what they usually do. Price it high and then when nobody orders it, price it low and up the price slowly to meet demand.

Dicks.
