Cheapo plaster is certainly a possibility. Ultracal 30 (the expensive stuff) comes from the Portland Cement Company and I believe is a mix of (portland) cement, fine plaster and gypsum sand. What ratios though, and what other additives I have no idea. My concern maybe would be setting? Would a mix of plaster and cement with their different setting times work? No idea but I guess it'd be a cheap experiment?! And frankly sir if you can figure out a cheapo plaster as hard as Ultracal I will be there asap. I've always used Ultracal because of it's excellent surface hardness and low shrinkage/distortion while drying but yeah, sucks to pay for all that dead weight cause it is FUCKING heavy.

Regarding adsense. Sign up with Google's analytics service, sign up with Google's sitemap service. Watch hits go up but also, be patient like a deadly spider. I'm fairly sure the only reason I see a lot of traffic from Google is because I've been blogging on the SAME niche topic since 2002. Christ. TEN YEAR BLOG ANNIVERSARY September next year! Time to hire a strip joint and a DJ! You wanna come up from Gizzie?

Shit also, have I linked you in my blog roll? What's your site again? Man there's a lot of dead links in there. Might tidy that up tonight.

How are you naming your images? Descriptive names help google immensely. Always use description names that you think people might search on like 'dippedWarhammerGiant.JPG' instead of 'DSC0001395.JPG'.

You know it's occurred to me that shortly I'll have ship's doors and portholes. Wonder if I should make another ship of some form...?

Also damn it. Hirst Arts shipping has gone up Sad.

http://hirstarts.com/order/international.html

Swear it used to be $10us for an envelope. In which case I probably will wait until you're ready to order dustan because $14 on a $34 mold isn't a great deal.

Well I hope its $14 for a box of the suckers, cause otherwise I will be building my own... I think I already figured out how to make pefectly sized blanks that can then be carved, filed OR sculpted if I am wreckless (I am) but if you jump to the terrain section for the  link I am about to post it might be on hold for longer.

Follow that link Dustan. It's $14US for UP to FIVE molds in a UPS envelope. After that it's a UPS box.

Imagine, if you will, that we are playing an FPS and getting shanked by dirty corner campers and sniper fags. Now imagine the words of profanity and rage that would be vomitting from me like demons from the underworld.

Well all the above was shorter than typing out just exactly what i am feeling right now.

I love NextGen gallery but in order to fix the SEO fopar that I have commited I am going to have to edit the best part of 600 lines of SQL through phpmyadmin and the same again in renaming pictures using an FTP client.

I'm having issues getting phpmyadmin to import a csv with changes which would be a little quicker but then there is still the FTP part... I bet I can script it but it might take me longer to figure that out than to rename the files

*Face Palm*

Do you know if Alternative titles (Probably just more meta) will help or if the file title is the best way forward

Heh. Google themselves have something to say about ALT tags: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/12/using-alt-attributes-smartly.html

I should watch that too I suspect. I do use ALT tags, but usually just to describe the image again as in 'Dipped Warhammer Giant'.

Oh thanks the Gods, and Stu! In fact its just about have your babies time... (well, maybe baby sit them if I was in AKL)

Nextgen does make it super easy to do alt titles and alt tags so I guess I got lucky this time and will more clearly label my pics in the future

Also have you SEEN the US vs NZ$? .879? That is fucking nuts. That makes ordering and shipping a single mold around $54NZ...

Hmmm can't find anything though. I could just order 2 x #75 but that seems like madness.

I did hover over them briefly yes but then realised collectively between you and I we could sculpt all those things easily. We've both already done boxes, my -first- attempt at sculpting was a barrel half! Could probably sculpt a better one now.

The piping mold looked quite attractive too. They'd be great for Necromunda for example I think... maybe one of them?

That would be #320 probably. #321 would be nice too but that's three molds Smiley

Actually the more I look at #320, the more taken I am with it. That could be used for all sorts of sci-fi and pulp gaming couldn't it...
