Aaron and I used them for our last game of Dystopian Wars and agreed I think that they're slightly sexier than annoying cardboard markers.
Fortunately I got a mix of micro and mini markers (10 of each). We started using the blue based 'mini' markers to indicate 2 HPs lost and that worked well. Also that's my first Covenant Plato Cruiser finished too.
