Campaign HistoryNOTE: This history is in reverse chronological order.Home to Daddy: Sisters vs Reichlanders vs Possessed vs OrcsWhen: 22 Dec 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Orcs Result: A terrible clash in the streets of Mordheim sees The Possessed face off against a Reichlander and Sisters warband while ignoring a bunch of distant Greenskins. The Possessed rip into the Reichlanders first before being flanked by the Sisters. A mighty three way struggle ensues which eventually sees the Reichlanders fleeing (they lose six men to the Possessed, while inflicting three casualties in return) followed in short order by the Sisters (who lose five Sisters and the Matriach while downing three Possessed)! The Orcs and Goblins spend the entire battle slogging through the ruins only the reach the Possessed just before they decide they've had enough and rout as well. The Orcs capture the Prince by default and 'win' the battle. Highlights: The only casualty the Orc warband suffers is a lowly Goblin that foolishly darts in front of a marching Orc. The Orc expresses his annoyance by swiftly booting the Gobbo into a ruined wall. Sister Chastity visits several Possessed Beastmen with righteous fury, knocking one clean off its hooves with a lucky blow from her blessed warhammer. Another she lacerates badly with several lashes from her steel whip. The Magister has clearly received blessing by the Dark Gods for this engagement as early in the battle he sinks an arrow deep into the Ogre accompanying the Reichlanders. The haft splinters on impact, spinning away and whipping across the face of a nearby Sister, blinding her as well. Later the Sisters feel another unholy arrow, this time from the Tilean marksman hiding high in a ruined building. He fires down onto the Matriach with such force the arrow passes clean through her throat and then strikes Sister Clemency in the thigh. Clemency looks down at the wicked haft in horror just as the Matriach falls at her feet gurgling out a large pool of blood. The Possessed are faced with two Ogres at one point - however the daemon worshippers make short work of both of them. In particular a hoary Beastman cuts a horrifyingly deep wound that outright kills one of the Ogres in a single stroke. Sister MVP: Chastity for taking down several Beastmen Reichlanders MVP: None selected Possessed MVP: The Tilean Marksman Orcs MVP: None worthy Skirmish: Possessed versus ReichlandersWhen: 16 Dec 2002Where: Griff's Dining Room of Pain Winner! Possessed MVP: The Magister and his sturdy bow Reichlander MVP: The daemon hunting Flammerwerfer Skirmish: Reichlanders versus OrcsWhen: 18 Nov 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Orcs Result: After a slow start and a handful of Squig and Goblin casualties in the first and second waves, the Orcs finally get stuck in and take out enough Reichlanders (including the Captain) to convince them to retreat from the field in an orderly manner. Very few casualites are actually sustained despite the large number of warriors incapacitated on both sides. A ravening Squig leaps through a low window and claws open the stomach of a feckless Reichlander youngblood who expires from shock. In retaliation the Reichlander Captain splatters the brains of another Squig on the cobbles by discharging his duelling pistol in its slavering maw. Everybody else fully recovers from their wounds. The Orcs swagger off into the ruins after discovering three shards of wyrdstone and some scrawny prisoners chained up in a basement. They flog the prisoners off to another bunch of Orcs for 8 crowns. The Reichlanders stagger off and nab a deranged peasant dragging a couple of shards through the ruins in a glowing wheelbarrow. Highlights: An unruly herd of Squigs, Orcs and Goblins (wary of the massed ranks of Reichlander archers) move up under the cover of a small ruined house. They mill around behind it until the Squigs scent man-flesh and break from cover with their Goblin wranglas in tow. Sensing impending carnage, numerous Orcs and Goblins arrers also dash pell mell towards the Reichlanders screaming 'Waaaaaaaghh!' and loosing off uncontrolled volleys of arrows. The Reichlanders are heard to comment about a 'smelly sea of green'. A Reichlander hefts his trusty blunderbuss and catches three Squigs and an Orc hero with a blast of rusty nails and shot. The Squigs all fall down squeeling and thrashing but eventually all stagger to their feet again. The Orcish hero suffers terrible burns and spends some time plucking smoking nails from his thick hide, but survives as well - much to the Reichlander's dismay. Massive amounts of arrow fire is exchanged over the course of the battle with the Reichlanders fielding seven archers and the Orcs fielding eight (although four of those are Goblin short-bowers). Almost all of it is ineffective with only two casualties from arrow fire: a poor Goblin archer is knocked out and the Reichlander Captain falls to barrage from three Orcish arrers. The Reichlander Auchflauker A dashes around the right flank of the Orcish warband under cover but is spotted by a Squig Wrangla as he comes up from behind. The Wrangla senses his chance for fame and charges the Reichlander fiercely prodding with his Squig prodder. Alas the foes are well met and exchange graceful blows for some time until the Goblin drops his prodder when he suffers a crack on the head from a sword butt. The Reichlander, flush with victory charges the Orc Shaman and looks to be about to defeat him until Grimgrin (the Orcish Pit Fighter) barrels in and smashes the Reichlander down with his ax. Reichlander MVP: Auchflauker A for valiant flanking Orc MVP: Orc Arrer that shot the Captain Breakthrough: Orcs versus PossessedWhen: 11 Nov 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Possessed Result: The Possessed encounter the Orcs encamped between ruined houses for a lunch break and proceed to sprint past them. The Orcs spend most of the encounter struggling to retrieve their gear and stamping out the fire. Almost an entirely ranged affair the Orc and Goblin archers score several telling hits on the Pit Fighter, Bretheren and Mutants - but while several of the targets are knocked down, every victim recovers due to the Magister's application of foul balms and ungents. The unnaturally fast Possessed outpace the disorganised Orcs and win the game easily but not before the Magister plants a single arrow in the forehead of an unsuspecting Squig wrangla. The Possessed discover a huge lump of meteor embedded in the remains of a chapel of Sigmar and they pry no less than five shards of wyrdstone out of glowing pit in the ruined floor. Behind the chapel they discover the collapsed remains of a fletcher and yank out three perfectly serviceable bows from under the charred bundles of yew. The Orcs aren't so lucky and after hours of searching find only three shards scattered through the ruins of the Damned City, they also liberate three dusty crowns from under the counter of a dismal shop. Highlights: The only melee occurs in the closing moments of the battle when a foolhardy Orcish arrer wanders over to look down from his eagle's nest in a ruined house. He spots a freakish Mutant lurking below but fails to notice the Pit Fighter and the other Mutant quickly and quietly climbing up towards him. That is until they surprise him by leaping up! The Mutant performs a quick weapon and poisonous tail demonstration before the Pit Fighter grunts 'stop showing off freak' and smashes the Orc down to the warped floorboards with his rusted gauntlet. Possessed MVP: The Possessed beasts Miolix and Urotsuki for ending the game so quickly Orc MVP: Orcish and Gobbo Arrer ladz Skirmish: Sisters versus ReichlandersWhen: 4 Nov 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Reichlanders Result: The Sisters are the underdogs in this engagement and it shows as they carefully pick their way through the ruins, trying to find as much cover as possible from Reichlander arrows. Unfortunately Sister Charity stumbles into the open at one point and is immediately met with an arrow from the canny Elf. The others manage to remain under cover until the Reichlanders approach on foot and both parties clash in a chaotic melee. The Reichlanders gain the upper hand and eventually convince the Sisters to rout after several of them are knocked to the ground. Fortunately there are no casualties although several of the Nuns suffer debilitating injuries which forces them to stop in a ruined church on the way back. After tending to her sisters, Expedia kneels to give thanks and spots a cache of five wyrdstones stuffed under the ruined altar. On returning to the Cathedral with their find the Sisters are surprised to meet a rather large and toothy old friend who bows clumsily and opines he may accompany them on their next patrol. The Reichlanders set off in a different direction and while they were 'victorious' they're disappointed to only uncover three shards of the stone and a handful on crowns on the way back to their encampment. Highlights: The Reichlander archers are first to spot the Sisters from their elevated position in a ruined house. Seeking a higher vantage point all of them had climbed up onto a nearby roof. It was such a lovely morning above the ruins that they remain there for the entire engagement - taking occasional potshots while talking shop, sunning themselves and quaffing from an earthern jug someone had the foresight to bring along. As she hides in a ruined house the blind Augur Alice dimly perceives the clash of Sisters and Reichlanders in the square in front of her. Inspired by the battle hymn of her Sisters she charges into the fray, determined to whip a Reichlander or two into submission. Unfortunately she's evidently picked up the wrong weapon while leaving the Cathedral and is embarrased to discover she's trying to whip distant enemies with Sister Impedia's flail. Sisters MVP: Alice the Blind Augur for keenness Reichlanders MVP: The vertically superior Archers Street Fight: Sisters versus PossessedWhen: 3 Nov 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Possessed Result: Off to a promising start the Sisters 'bless' a Bretheren and stave in the skull of a fell Beastman before being confronted by the abhorent Possessed. Alas not even Sigmar can aid them against such fiends and the Nuns fall to their knees one after the other until the Matriach and a mere three sisters remain standing. Expedia exhorts the Sisters on with fervent prayer until she's poisoned by the wicked sting of a nearby mutant. While the poison leaves her writhing in the dust a grinning Possessed stomps her until she stops moving. At this point courage abandons the other Sisters and they dash into the ruins, tears streaking the gore spattered on their ripped habits. While the Matriach is mortally wounded she survives long enough to witness the Magister performing some perverted ceremony of 'last rites' before he cuts her heart out and has Meolix twist her head off. The Possessed loot (amoungst other things) the bodies of those left behind and ransack the locale, finding a particularly rich chunk of meteorite and digging up five shards. Back in their stinking lair, the Magister carefully installs Expedia's ruined visage on the makeshift altar, next to the rotten head of a former Brettonian Knight. The surviving Sisters retire into seclusion and spend the rest of their days in prayer for Expedia's soul. Highlights: The mutated Bsamad scrabbles up the side of a building to menance the Sisters hiding in a house across the street. Hissing softly he advances over a rickety catwalk before firing an arrow into the soft flesh of a Sister foolish enough to check who was coming. The Sister spins from the arrow's impact and loses her footing, crashing through numerous rotten timbers before smashing to the ground 20' feet below and passing out. Sister MVP: Novice Heidi Possessed MVP: Bsamad aka 'The Spider Mutant' Chance Encounter: Sisters versus OrcsWhen: 3 Nov 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Orcs Result: Despite a lot of aggro amoungst the Goblins, the Orcish warband convince the Sisters to retreat back to their cells for some quiet contemplation after a short battle. The Orcs recover a shard that Sister Chastity dropped when she was pinned to a wall in the second story of a house by the aptly named Grimgrin. They find another three shards after chasing the Sisters off and also sniff out a quaking peasant hiding under a ruined cart. The hench-Orcs are all for frying him up for lunch until he promises to lead Fnargh to a large hunk of 'sky stone' that landed on top of his hovel. All of the Sisters survive, but Chastity is so greviously wounded by Grimgrin's spear she will have to remain in the infirmary for some time. While they leave the field with only a single shard, Sigmar blesses the Sisters and they spot three more on the way back to the Cathedral as well as a small purse behind a ruined stall. Highlights: In a bid to prove his worth to the battle worn Orc leader, the new recruit Grak leads the charge and smashes two sisters of the Alpha Omega sorority to the ground with the butt of his spear. The Goblins dislike the smell of unsullied Sister flesh and are particularly twitchy during this battle. Early on one Squig Wrangla steps on the foot of another and a brief scuffle breaks out. A Goblin archer hiding in the upper stories of a nearby house sees his mate getting pushed around and screams abuse from a window. In reply he gets an obscene arm gesture from the stumble footed Wrangla which really does 'is 'ead in. Forgetting where he is he vaults over the window sill and tumbles to the ground 10' below, somehow landing on his feet and charging into the fray. Unfortunately the Wrangla sees him coming and treats him to the business end of his Squig prodder. The Goblin archer lies stunned on the ground for the rest of the battle. Sister MVP: No Sister elected Orc MVP: Grak the Orc The Lost Prince: Middenheimers, Orcs, Possessed and ReichlandersWhen: 19 Oct 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Possessed Result:The Middenheimers are quickly set upon by the Possessed and the Reichlanders and so are the first to gracefully retire to the nearby streets. The youngblood Johann is also first to perish when a Reichlander arrow catches him full in the chest. The remaining Middenheimers are fortunate to discover four wyrdstone shards and seven coins in a nearby abandonded Market Hall while the din of the battle continues several streets away. Much bitter fighting occurs before the next warband retires - this time it's the Orcs with several fatalities. A spear-Orc expires after being pinned to the cobbles by evil Bretheren arrows while vainly trying to crawl for cover. His mate goes down later with a scream and a gruesome spray of black blood after getting hit in the groin by a Reichlander arrow. Uzog (an Orcish hero) is torn to shreds by a Beastman. It is the sight of his decapitated head being tossed into the air that causes the Orcs to flee into the ruins in a disorganised retreat. Sundry Goblins and Squigs drag themselves from the battle covered with bruises, welts and huge weeping gashes. The few remaining Orc heroes manage to scrape together three wyrdstone shards and spot a shiny coin or two under a corpse in a dim alley. The Reichlanders are the last to go, scared off after a terrible clash with the Possessed. An archer perishes from the gruesome wounds the Possessed Meolix inflicts on him. A Swordsman also expires after a Beastman bite becomes horribly infected. The Possessed stride off into the ruins with a protesting Prince in tow. They uncovered four shards of wyrdstone on the way back to their camp and wring seventeen crowns from the Prince when Meolix upends him and shakes until the Prince's purse is emptied. Highlights: The Reichlander youngblood races forward and tugs at the Prince's sleeve. Unfortunately the Prince is rather confused by all the shouting from the Orcs, Possessed and Middenheimers bearing down on him and proceeds to wander around the battlefield dazed. All the while the Reichlanders try to lead him to safety. A sneaky Orcish crossbow bolt catches a Possessed Bretheren in the back and he goes down. A small Goblin attracts the attentions of seven Reichlander archers by screaming torrents of high pitched abuse. They nock their arrows but are so distracted by the Goblin's erratic caperings that all seven shots miss. The Goblin repeats this performance later in the battle, again infuriating the same archers by dodging another six arrows. Now convinced he's invincible the Goblin struts around until he spots the Reichlander archers again and charges them recklessly - failing to notice the huge Possessed monster and Beastmen bearing down as well. The Possessed (after dealing with the archers) back hands the Goblin to the ground and a Beastman viciously stomps him unconcious. A lumbering Possessed climbs up into the ruins in pursuit of some Middenheimer crossbowmen only to see them leaping out the windows to escape. The clumsy beast slips while climbing back down and lands badly, popping a few yellowed ribs through his inflamed skin. The other Possessed beast goes on a murderous rampage, knocking down no less than five sorry victims during the battle despite being outnumbered by Middenheimers at one point! The victims are: Heidi - a comely young Middenheimer wench, Sven - a less than comely Middenheimer hero, a Middenheimer swordsman, a Reichlander archer and finally the Reichlander Captain! For quite some time all three Orc arrers argue amoungst themselves about who hit which Reichlander and who's the best archer and which way up to hold an arrow before they finally get back to actually firing at the enemy. A spear Orc charges into a Reichlander and turns him into a kebab, the force of the charge carries the dead Reichlander through a Squig and a nervous little Goblin standing behind the Reichlander, knocking both of them aside. A huzzah goes up from the Reichlanders when a doughty Archer treats a Beastman climbing up towards him like a hunk of log and hits it with a massive downward stroke from his axe. The axe cleaves the beast's shoulder and it falls back, hitting the ground stone dead. Towards the end of the battle the Reichlander Captain shoots the Prince in a desperate attempt to keep the Possessed from gaining his ear. The Prince is knocked off his feet in shock more than anything and is heard to disclaim something about "the terrible inaccuracy of the modern blackpowder weapon". The Reichlanders then proceed to get pushed back by the Possessed and in the closing moments of the battle a foetid Beastman cuffs the Prince and snarls at him to follow the Magister. Middenheimer MVP: No 'heimer elected Orc MVP: The 'Teflon' Goblin Possessed MVP: The Possessed Meolix Reichlander MVP: The Beastman chopping Archer Chance Encounter: Middenheimers versus OrcsWhen: Mon 14 Oct 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Orcs Result: After a hard day searching the ruins the Orcs spot a group of Middenheimers rifling through the upper story of a wrecked Innhouse. The Orcs are already carrying 3 shards of Wyrdstone while the Middenheimers are carrying 2 shards. After rounds of desultory arrow fire from the Orcs and some pratfalls by the Middenheimers, the 'heimers flee after losing a shard to the Orcs and uncovering 2 more shards in the Inn's attic. Heidi also trips over an old corpse on her way out (Sven had missed it due to his bad eye) and ferreting around managed to find some coins before the stench and advancing Orcs put her off. The Orcs proceed to trash the area in celebration and uncover 3 more shards and a handful of gold coins. Highlights: After spotting the 'heimers a heated argument breaks out in the Orc ranks about the number of 'umie arrers' they'd seen movin' around up dere. An Orc Basha reinforces his supposition that there was only a single arrer by smashing a nearby Sticka boy in the head. The Sticka boy goes down stunned and the remaining henchmen agree there is only the one arrer above them. The Orcs proceed to lumber across open ground to a nearby fence to avoid any incoming arrers. Fortunately the fence is tall and long enough to hide a good half of the Orc warband (as long as the Squigs and Gobbos are elbowed out of the way). The 'heimer crossbow man spots the Orcs and moves, trying to get a better angle on the fence. Alas he chooses a weak wall to climb down and falls when it gives way, landing badly on both hands and leaving him useless for the rest of the battle with sprained wrists. Through a crack in the palings the Shaman sees him fall and a mighty 'Waaagh!' goes up from the Orcs. Much to the 'heimers dismay, hordes of Greenskins pour out from behind the fence, including a massive brute with a bow and another Orc lugging a crude crossbow. There's a lot of shuffling about from the 'heimers on the top floor of the Inn as they come under inept fire from the Orcish bowmen. Crude black arrows as long as an arm slam into the crumbling plaster walls around them with little effect. Much shouting and the heavy tread of Orcish feet can be heard from below. Klaus commands Heidi and Johann (the youngbloods) to go and see if they can spot any Orcs coming up the stairs. Johann peeks down the stairwell to see three scarred Orcish faces peering back up at him. Before he can dive down into the fray the Orc leader finally gets his eye in and sends Johann flying back into the 'heimers with a well placed arrow. The arrowhead cuts through Johann's trousers and slams into his thigh. A lone shard of wyrdstone spills from his ruined pockets and bounces down the stairwell with a crystaline ringing - right at the feet of the grinning Shaman. Middenheimer MVP: None worthy. Orc MVP: Boss Fnargh. Surprise Attack: Middenheimers versus ReichlandersWhen: Sat 12 Oct 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Reichlanders (despite being surprised) Result: Captain Klaus the Middenheimer, still nursing a bloody eyepatch, was cut down by a cowardly counter-charge from a heroic Reichlander youngblood. He will forever remember the dastardly coward with burning hatred. Father Erik's Wolf charged a two-handed swordsman who just managed to step aside and lop off her head. Father Erik, saddened and distracted by the death of his faithful companion charged some other Reichlanders and was run through by a swordsman. He collapsed and died on the spot. One of the van Eckhoff twins took a swing with his axe while an assailant was climbing up to meet him. Alas he missed, lost his balance and fell onto the sword of said assailant. The remaining Middenheimers break and flee into the ruins, stumbling across a couple of shards of wyrdstone and some coin as they go. The Reichlanders swagger off through the ruins, uncovering 4 shards of wyrdstone and rescuing a thin dirty child who keeps muttering 'Fritzie, where's my little brother Fritzie?'. She's been living in the ruins for some time though and knows the local area like the back of her hand. Highlights: Several rounds of absolutely appalling archery by the Reichlanders leads to some jeering from a Middenheimer crossbowman. Unfortunately that inspires a lone Reichlander to focus long enough to put an arrow through him. One of the Reichlander heroes (Sturmgrenadier B) objects to the Middenheimers comments regarding Reichlander archers and goes on a rampage, butchering the Wolf, slaughtering a van Eckhoff twin and smashing Captain Klaus to his knees. The sight of this maniac covered in the blood of their comrades unnerves the remaining Middenheimers so much they rout. Sturmgrenadier A is not quite so inspired and after dashing around the centre of the battle like a headless chicken is cracked on the head by the rather homely Heidi (a recent addition to the Middenheimers). Unfortunately she's a little too squeemish to finish him off and he staggers off nursing an aching skull. At one point both leaders charge each other brandishing finely crafted blackpowder weapons. Alas it must all be decorative filigree because both weapons fail to discharge in the first round! The Reichlander's duelling pistol simply doesn't fire when pushed into the Middenheimer's gut (the flint catches on his belt buckle) and a mis-cast ball jams the Middenheimer's pistol when tries to return the favour. Middenheimer MVP: Heidi the youngblood. Reichlander MVP: Sturmgrenadier B. Hidden Treasure: Middenheimers versus PossessedWhen: Sat 12 Oct 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Possessed Result: The loathsome Mutants find the chest in the last house to be searched and after some vicious melee the Middenheimers retire gracefully from the field. The Captain and the Champion are simultaneously blinded in one eye during this melee by two Beastmen who are clearly practiced at single finger spears. Fortunately no men or wolves are lost but blindness hampers the Middenheimers and they only retrieve 2 shards of wyrdstone and discover a serviceable sword on a nearby corpse. The Possessed suffer no casualties but are not rewarded for their efforts - this chest fails to contain much more than a few dusty pieces of gold and some moldy old armor. They do however find 3 shards of wrydstone later, as well as a poor hungry waif lost in the ruins. They escort the waif back to their basement and after the proper sacrificial rites, cut him up for dinner. Highlights: The Middenheim Wolf trades blows with a Possessed and survives! One of the few combatants to do so. The Possessed play a very cagey game with Possessed and Beastmen running a very tight interference play for the Mutants capering off with the chest. Another quick victory for the Possessed. Middenheimer MVP: The fearless Wolf! Possessed MVP: The deft Beastmen. Hidden Treasure: Orcs versus PossessedWhen: Mon 30 Sep 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Possessed Result: Orcs lose as the Possessed hussle the treasure chest off into the ruins. Two Squigs are lost in the closing moments of the battle. One to an arrow from the evil Magister, another from a brief scuffle with a wounded Beastman. The Possessed are untouched (well, one Beastman suffers a wound from arrow fire but he gets better). Highlights: The highlight would have to be the Dark Gods favouring a freshly fielded Possessed beast by allowing him? her? it? to discover the hidden chest in the exact centre of the board - in the second to last building to be searched nonetheless! The Orcs lumber after the Possessed in a vain attempt to recapture the chest, but naturally they're just too fast. Other than that a most uneventful battle. Possessed MVP: Definitely the lucky Possessed beast. Orc MVP: Nobody in the Orcish warband deserves the title. Wyrdstone Hunt: Orcs versus ReichlandersWhen: Mon 16 Sep 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Reichlanders Result: Orcs rout voluntarily after an appalling round of melee however they lose no heros and manage to recover 1 shard and later find 3 shards while gaining some valuable experience. Two Orc henchmen and a Squig are lost. The Reichlanders recover 2 shards and later find 3 as well. Not a single man is lost. Highlights: A failed diving charge on an angry Goblin results in the skewering of a disabled archer - the Goblin draws first blood! Said Goblin then charges two archers and fights them off for numerous turns, getting knocked down twice in the process! Alas he is finally dealt with before reinforcements arrive. In fact the reinforcements are cut down by the now free archers while attempting to charge them. Both the Orc squigs are running free and wild at the end. One squig shoots his leash fairly early and menaces both Orc and Reichlander alike but fails to bite anybody. The second squig is busy pursuing the Reichlander leader when it notices there's no Goblins with nasty prodders nearby. It veers off barking and growling at two Reichlanders hiding up in a nearby ruined barn (with wyrdstone shards clutched to their chests). An archer and a youngblood successfully resist a charge by an Orc hero and spear carrying henchmen only to knock them both out after several rounds of appallingly inept melee by the Orcs. This lost melee is the turning point for the Orcs and they flee as soon as possible. At one point the enemy leaders are within a stone's throw of each other. They exchange some desultory fire with no effect but both hesitate to charge and after exchanging curt nods, silently agree to go their separate ways. They don't encounter each other for the rest of the game and exchange no further fire (despite a ricocheted Orcish arrow just missing the Reichlander later on). Orc MVP: A doughty Goblin! Reichlander MVP: The Archers. Skirmish: Possessed versus BrettoniansWhen: Sat 14 Sep 2002Where: Stu's Garage of Destruction Winner! Possessed Result: Brettonians are routed and disbanded! Highlights: The clash in the ruins of an Inn. The mounted Brettonian Knight and Knight Errant charge the abhorent Possessed, wounding him but failing to do any permanent damage. In turn they are counter charged by the Possessed's nearby Beastmen bodyguard and after a brief skirmish fall under a hail of blows from the stinking creatures. The Knight Errant is killed outright however his faithful steed defends the corpse of his fallen master to the end (the horse escapes unscathed). The leading Knight is less lucky and is captured and returned to an evil altar hidden under a nearby house. He is stripped of his possessions and quickly sacrificed to the dark gods. Chivalry perishes in a reeking basement and the Brettonians are disbanded after their first outing. The Possessed make a killing (140gc?) searching Mordheim and by flogging off all of the Knight's pilfered armor and his stolen horse. While the ground floors of the Inn are being so fearsomely contested, the upper floors are held by Brettonian archers who are exchanging fire with the evil Magister and his mutated comrades in an opposite building. After several ineffective volleys of arrows by both sides the Magister strikes a poor archer in the eye and seals the fate of the Brettonians. Possessed MVP: The vile Beastmen. Brettonian MVP: The Knight Errant's horse. NOTE: This website is completely unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop Limited.
