That’s a lovely giant spider figure from Heresy Miniatures. I’m tempted to order it from them but they’re a British company and it would cost me about $30NZ at the current exchange rate.
For that price and given the essential simplicity of the figure (a main body with a bunch of repositioned legs) I’m inclined to try sculpting my own as a ‘Nightmare’ for the Lahmian vampire in the Vampire Counts force.
Mind you $30NZ seems reasonable compared to the mediocre ‘Shelob‘ figure that GW sell here for $60NZ!
Insects would seem to be reasonably easy to sculpt. Here’s another lovely example of a custom built giant fly from GW’s gamesday 2004.
