On a whim I picked up a copy of ‘Model Military International’ from a local book store last night and was pleasantly surprised to find it was a reasonably priced ($13.70nz) modelling magazine where every article was of interest to me.
The magazine’s focus is definitely on modelling AFV’s (armored fighting vehicles) and troop support vehicles which is probably why it was such easy reading. I don’t actually do any large scale military modelling but do enjoy learning about techniques and painting methods as they can often be useful for the 28mm Fantasy/Sci-fi or 15mm military gamer as well.
I was wondering why I’d never noticed it before when I realised I’d actually purchased Issue 1, May 2006. I see they’re up to Issue 4 now so I’ve missed a few in the interim but I shall be keeping an eye out for it in the future.
